| The word 'Telematics' (Telecommunications using Informatics) coined for Technology, which represents the sending, networking and receiving of a variety of information in digital form. The curriculum is framed so as to integrate traditional communications with computer networking and the emphasis is on computer networking, ISDN, Cellular, ATM & Satellite communications. The department is specially equipped with Digital switching Laboratory, with fiber optic workstation. It is a parallel program with ECE with specialization in computer communications, Internet, Intranet & Multimedia. This course extends to wider applications in Electronics, Telecommunication & Information Technology and offers excellent employment opportunities in India & abroad. For pursing M.Tech/M.S. in India/abroad ETM is treated equivalent ETM is equivalent to ECE). Out of 40 theory subjects, 38 subjects are common for both ETM & ECE courses. |
