The central library has been set up in an area of 1000sq. Mts. with Unique features. It is designed and developed scientifically and systematically with modern furniture with a seating capacity of 350.
The following facilities have been created in order to cater to the needs of the users:
Reference section, circulation section, Digital library, Journals section, Technical section, New Arrival displays, multi featured printer with xerox, Electronic display systems, reading room, text book area, personal belongings, newspapers, audio visual room, cubical, discussion place, book bank, water cooler and first aid.
The excellent collection of more than 50,000 books (both text and reference) and 150 indian and international journals besides various daily news papers caters to the needs of students.
The Digital library (E-Library) has the institutional membership of INDEST - AICTE consortium with the subscription of IEL online journals (242 Titles), National programme on Technology Enhanced learning (videos developed by IIT professors pertaining to all the disciplines of engineering) and DELNET. SONET videos is another salient feature.
We strongly believe that library is a growing organism and the scope for the future expansion is already churned out and our vision is to build up the best libraries in the country. |
